Camotito, I agree that the film damage is not needed. The music was actually the first song that I found that sounded OK that was creative commons... I thought that the color correction + damage would make it seem more believeable. In hindsight I could have done w/o the computer scene... or if nothing else not cut to the computer / phone.

Tania, thank you, I tried to match the mood of the shot to the rythm of the music. The tea scene where the music becomes slower was totally by accident. I didn't even plan for that to happen. Rather be lucky than good I guess.

I wish there were more projects out like this. I would really love to cut a short with dialogue in it.

i agree the music helped give the cut a hopeful and adventurous feel and mood.

however the film damage is unmotivated in my opinion. the clash of the film damage with the modern visuals [especially the computer] seems out of place.

The music and effects work with each other, but not with the footage and the story.

However, good editing/cuts, the transition from one shot to the next was seamless most of the times.

good try, some work on narrative is needed.

i felt by usng the upbeat classic jazzy sounding music along with grading and picture affects, gave it a hopeful adventurous feel to this unknown girls day.. The trip to work was full of pride.. Happiness in the simple machanics of life. Though thru it, as her face appeared, as if windows into her unfulfillent - it felt like the music was a facade she hid behind.. The glimmer of hope was her momement with her cuppa tea...

I liked this unique edit. It created some interesting layers of meaning :)
