Coffee with Ian?
IanIan befriended me on Twitter the other day. He runs the website and social networking group Coffee with Ian:
"The goal of Coffee With Ian is to escape from the comforts of internet-based social networking and meet new people in person. Therefore, I invite you to have coffee with me."
It's a great idea actually, taking the best from both worlds (meeting people with niche interests via social networking online then meeting them in person to drink coffee - mmmm - and talk further about those interests).
At Stray Cinema we acknowledge that very exciting things are happening with film online, however many filmmakers still see value in having their films screened in a live environment on a big screen. Too see how an audience reacts to their work. Important things still happen in the real world! That's why we have a screening event.
