a good read
grab a coffee, and give me ten minutes of your time. please.
ive just found an excellent post on collaborative filmmaking. it focuses on a project called the basement tapes, which is a collaborative documentary about copyright in the digital age. mmmm, very topical...
anyway, the basement tapes is an excellent project, well worth checking out, but i think the article itself gives a nice overview of collaborative filmmaking, and why it's generating so much interest at the moment.

yeah i love the creative commons :) we used one of their licenses for our footage this year. on that note, we are thinking about changing this licence next year, so people can use our footage for commercial purposes if they wish. this means we would also release the high quality footage to anyone who wants it. keen to hear what you and our community think about this. just trying to free everything up as much as possible. i'll write a separate blog about it soon.
