finding film you like online
There are hundreds (well apparently it's approximately 100) video sharing websites, and millions of vidoes floating around in cyber space. Its the ever increasing question of how do we sort through this information and find what we want?
VodPod allows people to build their own "pods" aka "online video channels".
So you find all of the video's that relate to a particular subject of interest - let's say it's Birds 'n' Wildlife, and then build a channel, which anyone can watch and add to.
Directors Notes

From their about page:
'Directors Notes' is a weekly podcast dedicated to giving a voice to independent filmmakers, covering aspects of filmmaking from concept to completion. The podcast will be an opportunity for featured directors to discuss how they developed their initial ideas managing to navigate pitfalls along the way. We are doing this because we are passionate about good filmmaking and spreading the word as far as possible. Every year there are 100s of great features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, animations and art films from around the world that don’t get the exposure they deserve…it’s our job to make obscurity a thing of the past, one film at a time.'
It's a great idea for a podcast, and i recommend a listen. MarBelle (the Creator) actually got in touch with me via beloved myspace, and seemed interested in doing a piece on Stray Cinema, including interviews with myself and the creators of the top five film submissions - as voted by our online community. This wouldn't be until July, but I will let you know if that goes ahead.
I really like the idea of podcats. its a relaxing medium that allows you to find out specific information without reading from a book or computer screen. You can multitask while listening to them too, it's perfect for my half hour walk into town every day.
